Newer tightly sealed homes require continuous mechanical ventilation systems that remove trapped stale air and pollutants, and introduce fresh clean outdoor air. The three keys of an energy efficient ventilation system are:

Regulation – Using Constant Airflow Regulators (CARs) provides precise controlled amounts of air to meet ventilation requirements and drastically reduce the load placed on heating and cooling systems.

Zoning – Zoned ventilation systems can operate at minimum recommended levels to meet code and health requirements, while saving energy by intermittently boosting contaminant removal only in desired areas when needed.

Recovery – Heat and Energy recovery systems move energy from stale air to incoming fresh air, so pollutants are removed while the heating and cooling energy is retained. Throughout the year; heat from indoor exhaust warms the fresh air during winter months, and cools warmer outside air during summer months.
